Terms and Conditions

Business Philosophy: All of us at Walter Hammond want you to be completely satisfied with the products and services we provide. We also want your buying experience to be hassle-free. Our goal is to earn a solid, long-term relationship by satisfying your needs in a friendly and efficient manner.

Pricing: Prices in our catalogs or sales flyers were effective at the time of printing and are subject to change without notice. Orders will be billed throughout the year at the prevailing prices. Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of the quote unless otherwise noted. Any clerical errors in order processing are subject to correction.

Billing Terms and Conditions: Billing terms are net 30 days to customers with established credit unless otherwise stated. In addition to open accounts, we also accept cash and most major credit cards.

Damaged Merchandise: All merchandise becomes the property of the purchaser upon delivery by the carrier. It is always good practice to check for damage to the shipment immediately upon arrival and note any findings on the delivery receipt. You should then contact the carrier for instructions on how to process a claim, if needed. Our responsibility ceases once we deliver the merchandise to the carrier in good condition, but we will render all reasonable assistance in substantiating your claim.

Cancellation of Orders and Return of Goods: Orders may not be cancelled or merchandise returned without our approval. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return it within 30 days of delivery for a no-charge replacement or full credit provided the merchandise is returnable to our supplier and in re-sellable condition. See Return Goods Procedure.

  • NOTE: Special Order merchandise will be subject to the manufacturer’s return policy and may include a restocking fee. In some cases special order products may not be returnable. Merchandise returned because of a Walter Hammond error will be replaced or credited without expense to you.
  • NOTE: Manufacturers of air monitoring devices will not accept returned merchandise if the box has been opened – no exceptions.

Return Goods Procedure: Please contact us to receive a Returned Goods Authorization (RGA) prior to returning any merchandise. Once received, we will process the request immediately. Goods returned to us without an RGA will delay the crediting process.

Warranty and Limitations of Liability: The products we sell have been manufactured by others and may be warranted for limited periods of time by them against defects in materials and/or workmanship. Warranties do not apply to products that have been subject to misuse, abuse or neglect. In all instances, Walter Hammond makes no warranty of any kind whatsoever, expressed or implied, unless set forth in writing. No agent, employee or representative of Walter Hammond has the authority to bind us to any affirmation, representation or warranty concerning the products we sell beyond that specifically included in writing.
